Scottsdale Backyard Microwedding

Weddings don’t need hundreds of guests to be a good time. Leah and Tanner chose to host 20 of their closest friends and family at a vacation rental in Scottsdale. They rented an eight-bedroom estate in Scottsdale with a pickleball court and pool.

Even though they had an intimate gathering, Leah and Tanner didn’t skimp on the decor! They still had real florals, and a beautiful, candlelit dinner to celebrate their wedding.

We started the day of with getting ready photos in one of the suites. Tanner wrote Leah small notes that she read leading up to their first look. Isn’t that so cute?!?! We found a private nook in the front of the house where they could read their vows to one another. I took advantage of the beautiful light coming through the beams for a chance to take beautiful bridal photos. These are some of my favorite photos!

Arizona Vacation Rentals is who Leah and Tanner rented through. They have multiple larger properties in Scottsdale and Phoenix that are perfect for microweddings, retreats, or family reunions. Their properties are on AirBnB, which makes renting easy. If you are looking for a place that can accommodate guests for your Scottsdale microwedding, check out the photos below to see how Leah and Tanner set up their wedding.

After that first look, they had a sweet ceremony in the backyard. While we were taking family photos, some friends helped flip the ceremony space, which replaced the rows of chairs with a long farm table for dinner.

I absolutely loved how charming Leah and Tanner’s microwedding was. They still got to do all the traditional elements of a larger wedding, getting ready, first look, private vows, a ceremony, cake cutting, family photos, but in a much smaller setting that was true to them. Their photos turned out amazing!
