Emily and William held their wedding reception at the beautiful fall Lafayette Park Hotel in the East Bay. The European charm of this venue makes for absolutely stunning photos. The weather in September was perfect and the fun vibes were high too.
We started the day with the bridal party in a hotel suite for getting ready photos. Emily had personalized hangers for her bridesmaids and they wrote her a sweet letter. After she changed into her dress, Emily and William did their first look outside at the Lafayette. We were able to get some couples portraits and wedding party photos done before their ceremony too.
After the photos, we drove to the church for a Catholic wedding ceremony. The time at the church concluded with family photos with the bride and groom.
While family photos were being taken at the church, guests arrived for cocktail hour back at the hotel. The dinner was being served in the courtyard under the stars. What a gorgeous wedding day!
After that first look, they had a sweet ceremony in the backyard. While we were taking family photos, some friends helped flip the ceremony space, which replaced the rows of chairs with a long farm table for dinner.
I absolutely loved how charming Leah and Tanner’s microwedding was. They still got to do all the traditional elements of a larger wedding, getting ready, first look, private vows, a ceremony, cake cutting, family photos, but in a much smaller setting that was true to them. Their photos turned out amazing!
