Choosing the perfect rooftop for a surprise proposal in austin
Austin reached out to me a couple days before his plan to propose to Katherine on Halloween. He originally had eyes on another restaurant, so after booking with me for photography, I called them to work out logistics. Since he was planning to propose on Halloween, that rooftop was setup for a Halloween event. I quickly pivoted to another rooftop that has great views, Nido on top of the Loren hotel.
Had he not reached out to me about photography, he might have showed up to to that rooftop and found out that it was unavailable the hard way. I always double check with restaurants and venues to make sure they are available and prepped for the proposal.

How to propose on a rooftop
After I contacted Nido to talk over logistics, I devised a plan with Austin. I would get on the rooftop ahead of them and find my hiding spot with the restaurant staff’s help. There’s only one elevator so it would have been very bad if we ended up bumping into each other on the way up!
I told Austin ahead of time where the perfect spot to propose was and watched from afar as the couple came up to the restaurant. Austin led Katherine outside to the spot and popped the question! Austin and Katherine had a picture perfect sunset rooftop proposal. I’m so lucky to be a pivotal part of their new beginning! Congrats to these two cuties!
