Fifteen years ago I picked up a camera for the first time as part of my school’s newspaper club. I started taking photos of sports, namely wrestling, then moved to graduation portraits for my friends. When my husband and I started planning for our own wedding, I jumped at wedding photography in an effort to better understand wedding timelines and get a better feel for the day.

My passion grew as I realized my favorite part of photography is the people in front of my lens. It feels very special for me to be there for the important parts of my clients’ life. I am very lucky. With my career background in events, I am quick on my feet and remain calm in tricky situations that may arise day of.

I am one of the few bilingual photographers in Arizona who speak both English and Vietnamese. My parents immigrated to the United States from Vietnam in the 80s. They settled in Houston, where they had me. I spent most of my life in Wisconsin (#cheesehead), and moved to Arizona short of a decade ago because I realized it was 70 degrees in December. I’m a sunshine addict.

Now I live with my husband and our two doggies, King and Mimi. My hobbies include staying active, cooking (and eating), cinema, and crafting. My favorite events to photograph are tea ceremonies, weddings, and parties. Note how all of these events involve cake… I love me some cake.
